MEET THE CHEF RAZIA SABOUR

Razia Sabour is the winner of OWN’s Great Soul Food Cook Off, a cooking competition that celebrates soul food as the foundation of American cuisine. The show is very much in line with Chef Raz’s intention, which is to preserve African American heritage through food. A native of Washington, DC., Razia developed a passion for cooking at an early age and feeding large numbers of people became a part of her pedigree. After dedicating 10 years to a career in social work, becoming a mother reignited Razia’s culinary flame. In 2011, Razia established Fuller Food, which quickly grew as one of Atlanta’s premiere catering companies for TV and film production with Tyler Perry Studios as her very first client; gaining projects with major networks including HBO, BRAVO, OWN, Lifetime Movie Network, VH1, Amazon Prime, and Spotify. 

She has also garnered public notoriety under her own name as a Food Network two-time competitor, a private chef, and a recipe developer. Her private clientele includes many of the Hollywood elite and professional athletes: Queen Latifah, Gabrielle Union, Stevie Wonder, Steve and Marjorie Harvey, Tyrese Gibson, and Orlando Pace, to name a few. Her artfully constructed food presentations have been requested to feed world dignitaries including the families of Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandella, the Royal Family of Ethiopia, and Vice President Kamala Harris. She’s also hosted cooking demos and participated in speaking engagements for stores like Bloomingdales, The Cook’s Warehouse, Williams Sonoma, and local culinary arts programs.
